A Thanksgiving Message

I have much to be grateful for: my family, my friends, my faith. 

And I'm thankful for you, my collaborators, past and present. 

This year, Backstory has been at work on two projects. One is a traveling exhibit on the topic of Alabama and the Holocaust. The other is a multi-site permanent exhibit on a civil rights topic. Both will serve the people of my home state of Alabama and beyond. 

Telling stories is what I’ve been doing for the past quarter century. It’s my passion. Exhibits on baseball and folk art, immigration and migration, industry and agriculture: I’ve gotten to explore all that and more.

My collaborators have always been visionaries like you — scholars and content experts, fund raisers and economic development professionals — in short, people who see the educational and economic possibilities in telling their story. I’m thankful that we have found each other.

Helping you realize that vision is humbling and just plain ol’ fun. Thanks for bringing me on board.
